The Morton Office Partition is part of our mid-range screening selection, offering a top quality divider at a fraction of the cost. Originally designed many years ago specifically for one of our customers looking for a sturdy, acoustically tested partition, it has now been a staple within our ranges and is used by many different types of businesses and organisations for varying needs. What started as just an acoustic solution has expanded over time to include multiple finishes and sizes to meet differing requirements. 

There are many designs of Morton Office Partitions that we offer as standard, as well as the opportunity to create a bespoke option for our clients. Some of these styles include the acoustic range (straight, curved, desktop, portable), as well as printed partitions finished with your custom designed artwork, the laminate partitions that offer a wipeable, easy to clean surface option opposed to the standard fabric finish that often accompanies office screens, and the glazed vision screens, incorporating a Perspex panel into the panel design. The acoustic foam used when manufacturing the partitions makes it an effective, more affordable option to add to many environments to assist with noise levels and provide separation or privacy where required. The sleek design and choice of trim and fabric allows the partitions to blend into multiple settings easily, offering a finish that matches the aesthetics and company branding or style of the room. 

The laminate and Perspex finshes within the Morton Screens give it the opportunity to fit perfectly into any medical or healthcare environment. These surface options on the partitions provide an easy clean result that is wipeable and antibacterial, in place of a softer fabric finish. How are Morton Office Partitions assembled?

There is little to no assembly required with the Morton Office Partition. The screens are sent to you pre-made on a secure pallet delivery. To start using the screen all you'll need to do is insert your chosen feet into the pre-drilled foot slots in the base of the screen and set the screen in the required placement. If you’re linking several partitions together to cover a wider length you’ll insert the 2 way rubber connector supplied with the partition into the linking channel on both screens you need attaching by placing the screens next to each other.  

For the desktop screens it's very similar, with the only difference being that you'll need to attach the desktop clamps to your desk in the indicated spots, based on where the pre-drilled slots are in the base on the partition. Once attach the rods of the clamps slot into these holes until the screen sits flush with the desktop. Again linking works the same as the freestanding partitions, once the desktop screens are all in place on the desktop the linking strips can be inserted to the connect the partitions together.

How are the Morton Office Partitions made?

The entirety  of the Morton Office Partition screen collection are manufactured in-house by us, which means that we are able to specifically choose the materials used and the process for manufacture used to create the final screen. At Rap Office Screens each Morton Office Partition is made to order, regardless of size or quantity, to guarantee we're providing the perfect partition to your specification and requirement every time. 

Morton Office Partitions are made constructed of an 18mm solid core, with 12mm fire retardant foam, high pressure laminate, Perspex or printed graphics applied to both sides. The acoustic partitions within the range are upholstered with a choice of fabric on both sides, while the Laminate is finished with the wipable Formica surface. The glazed screens are available in a choice of top, half or full vision, created using top quality Perspex in a clear or frosted finish, with the remainder of the panel being completed with an acoustic fabric or laminate base. Our printed Morton partitions have a 350 micron media, printed with your custom design, applied on both sides directly to the screen core, laminate for a scratch resistant surface.

The partitions are then finished with a powder coated aluminium edging and linking channel for connecting multiple partitions together. Foot slots are created in the base of the partitions to allow you to easily insert your foot of choice into the of the screen without the need for any tools. 

Each screen is checked by our production team once manufacturing has finished to ensure they are up to specification and the high quality we expect for each order before they are packaged onto the handmade pallet ready for delivery. 

What screen sizes and finishes are available?

We manufacture the Morton Office Partitions in a choice of sizes, with the majority of the straight screens (acoustic, laminate or Perspex) available from 1200 to 2000mm in height, 800 to 1600mm wide, with bespoke sizing available for large quantities. 

The Morton curved partition are only available at 800mm (radius of 1131mm) to create the curved angle required, heights to choose from start at 1200-2000mm. 

The acoustic screens from the Morton collection are upholstered both sides, on top of the layer of acoustic foam, in your chosen fabric colour from the available ranges. The Morton partitions are split within 2 fabric ranges, the standard using the woven collection and the Morton+ offering a brighter selection of colours from the Universe range. 

The laminate Morton partitions are manufactured using a high pressure Formica laminate on both sides of the panel, with the standard finish a white gloss colour, but with other products in the range offering a wider array of colours and patterns. 

The Morton Vision Screens are all made with varying amounts of clear or frosted Perspex, depending on which style you opt for. Print is also available on the Perspex section of these partitions, with your logo or print being back-printed directly onto the acrylic piece for a high quality, long lasting finish that blends seamlessly into the surface. 

Custom printed Morton partitions are available in 2 widths; 800 and 1000mm, with heights from 1200-2000mm. The printed surface is created using 350 micron stoplight media, laminated with 125 micron for a scratch resistant protection, printed using our roll to roll technology and applied directly to the solid inner core of the panel. 

We supply each Morton office partition with a set of stabilising feet as standard, in the same colour finish as the selected framework of your order. We do however have other feet available that can be used in place of the stabilising feet if required, such as castor wheels, button feet or round bases. 

Desk dividers within the Morton Office Partition range start from 400-600mm high, 800-1800mm wide. Drill-through desk fittings are provided free of charge with each desk divider, however these can be swapped for an easyfix C clamp that attaches to the edge of the desk and tightens into place. The clamps are provided in the same colour as the framework selected when ordering. 

The aluninium frame is available in either black, silver or white for every Morton partition within the range. Both the left and right side of the extrusion with include a linking channel as standard, giving you the option to insert a linking strip (2 way provided free of charge with every partition) to connect panels together.
